Ramadan is the
ninth month of the lunar Islamic calendar and is the Muslim month of fasting,
in which Muslims refrain from dawn until sunset from eating, drinking. The
rewards of fasting are many, but in this month, they are believed to be
multiplied. During this period Purity of both thoughts and actions
is important. The act of fasting is said to redirect the heart away from
worldly activities, its purpose being to cleanse the inner soul and free it
from harm.
Iftar , refers
to the evening meal when Muslims break their fast during the Islamic month of Ramadan. Iftar is one of the religious
observances of Ramadan and is often done as a
community, with people gathering to break their fast together.
So why not drop in at MLH’s terrace known as “One of the World’s Best Gathering Places” from the 20th
July to 18th August and have a taste of our special Iftar buffet
along with your entire family, and enjoy the scrumptious buffet spread
to your heart’s content.
The buffet will be available at the Governor’s
Restaurant daily with a special iftar corner added to the usual
theme night menu.
